Ball Bearings

Ball bearing is a kind of rolling bearing, balls are put in the middle of inner steel ring and outer steel ring. It also called roller bearing.

Structures

Ball bearings usually consist of four basic units: ball, inner ring, outer ring and cage.

Normally ball bearings for industry meet the standard of AISI 52100, balls and rings are usually made by high - chromium steel, Rockwell C- scale hardness are between 61-65.

The hardness of cage are lower than balls, materials(like medium - carbon steel, aluminium alloy ) are metals or nonmetals (like teflon, PTEF, polymer metals).

Ball bearings have little rotate frictional resistance than journal bearing, so in the same running speed, the temperature by friction will low.

Main Extend Types

1. Deep groove ball bearings are the most widely used ball bearings.

2. Angular contact ball bearings are mainly used in high speed precise equipments.

3. Self - aligning ball bearings have deep groove bearings' high speed and spherical roller bearings' aligning function.

4. Thrust ball bearings apply to rotation with high speed axial loads.

5. Insert ball bearings have simple design and easy to maintenance , the matching bearing housing have aligning function.

Roller and ring rib has little friction, suitable for high speed rotation. Depending on the existence of ribs on their rings, cylindrical roller bearings are classified into NU, NJ, NUP, N, NF and other single row cylindrical roller bearings.

• Angular Contact Ball BearingsSingle row angular contact ball bearings are able to undertake radial and axial loads at the same time, in some circumstances can take only axial loads and run in a high speed. They are made of high quality bearing steel GCr15. Angular contact ball bearings's axial loads capacity increased by the increase of angle.
