Spherical plain bearings are plain bearings with special structure. These bearings have an inner ring with an outer spherical surface and outer ring with a inner spherical surface. Spherical plain bearings' structure are simpler than roller bearings, they mainly combine with an inner spherical surface and outer ring with a inner spherical surface. Spherical plain bearings usually used in swing motion in low speed. Because the plain surface is spherical surface, this bearing is the metal connect bearing. It must take either the misalignment between the shaft and housing, or be able to reciprocating or regular oscillation in low speed. It can still work when there's a huge non-concentricity between supporting bearings and bearing shell bore. Generally the bearing can be divided into open (without seal) and double rubber seal design.
