Single row tapered roller bearings are separable. There are tapered raceway in both the inner and outer ring of the bearing. This kind of bearings can be divided in single row, double row and four row tapered roller bearings and other different structures by the rows of the rollers. Single row tapered roller bearing can take radial loads and axial loads in one direction. Single row tapered roller bearings have four indivisible parts. They are inner raceway (inner ring), outer raceway (outer ring), tapered roller (roller piece) and cage(roller ring). Because they can take axial and radial loads in rotational axis and bearing housing. Single row tapered roller bearings' capacity of taking axial loads are decided by the contact angle, that's the outer raceway's angle. The lager the angle is, the bigger axial loads capacity it has. So they can provide true rolling and low friction. Single row tapered roller bearings are the basic and most widely used tapered bearings.
